Welcome to PiCaM

… curriculum resources to develop critical global learning through the teaching and learning of mathematics…

  • find out how mathematics can open up spaces for learners to come together
  • make a place for meaningful mathematical inquiry
  • introduce global issues into the mathematics curriculum
  • build the capacity for respectful interaction across cultures within and beyond the classroom
  • delve into the ethical dilemmas of doing and using mathematics
  • explore how mathematics can be used for good or harm

…starting points for teachers and learners to explore in their classrooms

The materials are designed with 10-12 year olds and their teachers in mind but the resources have been used successfully across a wider age range.
